Role Description
As a Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology and product. You will be responsible for increasing our bug solve rate by implementing cutting-edge inference techniques, managing and improving our internal Foam benchmark for bug solving, and building and optimizing RAG systems and prompt engineering. You will work closely with our team to create incredible user experiences and develop efficient systems for collecting and storing diagnostic data.

Requirements

- Increase Foam's bug solve rate using advanced inference techniques (flow engineering, RAG, multi-agent architectures)
- Manage and improve internal Foam benchmark (evals) for bug solving
- Build and optimize RAG systems and prompt engineering
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to build data structures and infrastructure
- Develop efficient systems for collecting and storing diagnostic data
- Architect microservices to support our user experience
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend/full-stack engineering experience
- 2-3+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ year of professional LLM experience or equivalent side projects/open source contributions
- Experience with RAGs and prompt engineering
- Proficiency with AI coding tools
- Coding experience (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python)
- Systems design experience
- Familiarity with microservices
- Experience working closely with users

- Open source LLM project contributions
- Experience building LLM applications like chatbots
