Job Details

Key responsibilities include:

Influence our overall strategy by defining product features, driving the system architecture, and spearheading the best practices that enable a quality product.
Dive into and take ownership for critical design issues.
Participate in design reviews.
Collaborate with digital system architects and design engineers to implement digital logic functions in FPGA technology.
Collaborate with design teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA firmware and software.
Drive trade-off analysis to benefit customer experience and optimization of target technology resources for cost/size/power/performance/features.
Work with a project team to resolve integration issues at board and system levels.
The ideal candidate is clearly passionate about new opportunities and has a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products. A commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and strong communication skills are absolute requirements.

Minimum qualifications:

Architecture development, design and verification of digital circuit designs using FPGAs.
Understanding of FPGA synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis.
Experience with FPGA design environments including MicroSemi Libero a plus.
Comfortable diagnosing hardware issues.
Experience with bench equipment; network/spectrum/vector analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
Good documentation and commenting practices.
Ability to generate flow diagrams and charts.
General knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
Experience working in a requirements-based environment.
5+ years of experience in implementing digital designs using FPGAs.
Preferred qualifications:

Experience using and/or designing video processing functions using FPGA devices in EO/IR systems.
Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog for FPGA digital design.
