Job Details

We are seeking an exceptional Frontend Engineer (Founding) to take ownership of our frontend architecture and drive the development of our patient and caregiver-facing web application. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in zero-to-one environments, is comfortable working independently, and has a strong product and user experience mindset.

● Own and evolve our React-based frontend architecture, ensuring a seamless, high-performance user experience.
● Build and optimize web applications, focusing on responsive design, performance, and accessibility.
● Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes into polished, interactive user experiences.
● Ensure the frontend is highly performant and scalable, implementing best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
● Implement and refine a component-based design system, enabling consistent UI patterns and streamlined development.
● Develop and maintain front-end testing strategies, ensuring reliability and smooth user interactions.
● Drive technical decision-making on frontend frameworks, libraries, and tooling to support long-term growth.
● Partner closely with backend engineers to define APIs and ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend.
● Lay the foundation for scalable frontend development, establishing best practices and setting up processes for future engineers.
● Act as a key voice in product discussions, advocating for UX improvements and frontend innovations that improve patient and caregiver experiences.

Professional Qualifications:
● Proven ability to build and scale web applications, optimizing for performance, usability, and maintainability.
● Strong command of modern frontend technologies, including React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
● Experience shipping production web applications, ensuring they are fast, responsive, and accessible (no mobile app development required).
● Instincts for UI/UX best practices, able to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces.
● Comfortable navigating and improving existing codebases, refactoring for scalability and efficiency.
● Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar).
● Hands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks, ensuring smooth, reliable user interactions (Jest, Cypress, or similar).
● A bias for action—thrives in fast-moving, early-stage environments with high ownership and autonomy.
