As a Permanent FSQA Manager, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in food manufacturing to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to our mission of delivering safe, high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality programs in compliance with FDA, HACCP, PCQI, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the QC Lab environment, ensuring all testing and reporting are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct GMP audits, identify areas of non-compliance, and implement corrective actions to address any issues identified.
  • Manage the allergen and pest control programs, ensuring all requirements are met and potential risks are effectively managed.
  • Oversee the Positive Release Program, ensuring all products meet the required quality and safety standards before they are released to the market.
  • Collaborate with the Research & Development team to ensure new products meet all food safety and quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze Certificates of Analyses (COA) for all products and materials.
  • Ensure all line sheets, materials, and other documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the organization, ensuring all employees are aware of and adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a focus on Food Safety and Quality Assurance.
  • Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and HACCP certification.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and GMPs.
  • Experience with CAPA, COA, and other quality control programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
