We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Permanent FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Manager in the Manufacturing industry. This professional will be responsible for managing all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance for our food manufacturing operations. The FSQA Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and quality of our products by developing, implementing, and enforcing food safety and quality control programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of our food safety and quality assurance programs, including but not limited to PCQI, HACCP, Allergen Requirements, and Pest Control.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs and preventative measures to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the QC Lab Environment, ensuring proper sanitation and adherence to GMP Audits.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain line sheets and materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Research & Development (R&D) team to incorporate quality considerations into product development.
  • Oversee the Positive Release Program, ensuring that only products that meet our stringent quality standards are released.
  • Manage the CAPA (Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions) process, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Prepare and review Certificates of Analyses (COA) and other quality-related reports.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office to prepare reports and presentations, analyze data, and manage documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Foster a culture of safety and quality within the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of quality standards and requirements among all staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing operations, with a focus on food safety and quality assurance.
  • Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and HACCP certification are required.
  • Proven experience in a QC Lab Environment, with a strong understanding of GMP Audits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food manufacturing, including FDA regulations.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of quality control programs.
  • Familiarity with Allergen Requirements, Pest Control, and other relevant food safety considerations.
  • Strong understanding of the CAPA process and experience with preparing Certificates of Analyses (COA).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
