Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor robust Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring compliance with FDA and USDA regulations.
2. Oversee and manage the production process to ensure the highest quality of products.
3. Implement and maintain sanitation protocols, ensuring a clean and safe production environment.
4. Develop and implement HACCP plans to identify potential food safety hazards and prevent their occurrence.
5. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulations.
6. Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and training as needed.
7. Investigate any customer complaints related to product quality or safety, and implement corrective actions.
8. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to food safety and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the meat industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations related to food safety and quality.
4. Proven experience with HACCP implementation and management.
5. Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is highly desirable.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Proficiency in using quality management software and other related tools.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
