Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensure full compliance with FSMA, GFSI, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
  • Lead food safety culture initiatives, audits, and training programs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for customer complaints.
  • Manage product hold, disposition, and recall/traceability processes.
  • Oversee quality lab operations, equipment calibration, and microbiological testing.
  • Monitor pest control, sanitation, and environmental programs.
  • Manage quality team schedules, performance, and training.
  • Lead internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Analyze quality trends and report on Right First Time metrics.

Qualifications (Needed)
  • B.S. degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years in the food industry with plant-based managerial experience.
  • PCQI certification required; BRC experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, FSMA compliance.
  • Experience in microbiological and analytical testing (moisture, color, physical attributes).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP or similar systems.
  • Proven leadership and training skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
