A fast-scaling Series A startup based in Santa Barbara is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build the next generation of AI-powered customer feedback tools. The company recently secured 15M in funding led by a few VC firms and angels including Scale Venture Partners, a co-founder of Stripe, and a co-founder of Perplexity. Their platform is already trusted by enterprise names such as Lululemon and Stripe, and they're building out a team to meet growing demand. Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy full stack features across a modern TypeScript-based stack (Node.js, GraphQL, React)
  • Own major product components from conception to launch, collaborating closely with design and product
  • Partner with AI/NLP engineers to integrate advanced intelligence into the platform
  • Work directly with customers to understand their needs and refine the product
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and help set engineering standards
  • Move fast in an early-stage environment with meaningful autonomy

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 3 years of professional software development experience
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience across both frontend and backend systems
  • Strong TypeScript skills and working proficiency with GraphQL and React
  • Proven success delivering high-impact, user-facing features end-to-end
  • Startup experience or clear indicators of high achievement in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communicator with ability to engage directly with enterprise customers
  • Excited about in-person collaboration in Santa Barbara (90% of the team is co-located)
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset—this is an individual contributor role, not a stepping stone to management
