Schedule: 7a-3p or 7a-5p, Monday-Friday
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join our healthcare team in Virginia as a full-time locum tenens physician. The ideal candidate should be board-certified and have extensive experience in administering anesthesia to patients in a variety of surgical settings. As a locum tenens Anesthesiologist, you will work with a team of physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe and effective anesthesia care.
Responsibilities:
Administer general anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures including GS, VS, Endo, Ophth, and Ortho
Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure they are stable and comfortable
Adjust anesthesia levels as needed during surgery to maintain patient safety
Work closely with surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort
Evaluate patients prior to surgery to determine appropriate anesthesia method and dosage
Maintain patient records and documentation of anesthesia administration and patient monitoring
Provide post-operative care and pain management to patients as needed
Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Anesthesiology
Active medical license in Virginia or ability to obtain one
At least 2 years of experience as an Anesthesiologist
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality of care
Other Information:
OB experience is not required
Privileges take 120 days to obtain
