The M&A practice deals with the life cycle of a structured transaction, as private equity firms, hedge funds, and corporations need timely advice and insight to help maximize the value, mitigate the risk, and make informed investment decisions. Clients serviced by our M&A Tax Services team are both domestic and international.

Job Details

Essential Duties:

  • Provide tax compliance and tax advisory services, including exposure to federal and state income taxation matters, to clients in the private equity and entrepreneurial market space
  • Provide exemplary tax technical support, including tax structuring analysis, create tailored solutions and deliver industry expertise beneficial to our clients
  • Provide fluid due diligence from a tax perspective on structured transactions (both buy side and sell side) including key risks and potential adjustments to purchase price that impact the deals
  • Prepare and review individual, partnership and corporate income tax returns, including related schedules and forms
  • Execute client engagements, including the planning, budgeting, and supervision of other tax staff
  • Delegate assignments to tax staff to meet client objectives, and maximize utilization and realization
  • Keep firm Partners and Tax Managers informed of engagement progress and address any material issues impacting clients that may arise
  • Advise clients on critical issues identified that may impact their structured transactions and provide appropriate tax solutions
  • Conduct research using CCH Axcess and other tax software programs
  • Communicate on behalf of clients with IRS and other tax authorities
  • Represent clients at any potential tax audits
  • Develop and sustain strong client relationships
  • Participate in client proposals and new business development opportunities
