Job Details
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Senior Tax Manager specializing in Trusts and Estates for a fully remote position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax planning services and strategies for our high net worth clients. This role requires a deep understanding of trust and estate tax laws, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of junior tax professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to showcase their expertise in a fully remote setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide tax planning and consulting to our high net worth clients for estate, trust, and individual taxes.
2. Conduct research on complex tax issues to identify solutions and provide guidance to clients.
3. Manage and develop a team of junior tax professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a positive learning environment.
4. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
5. Manage and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their tax planning needs are met and exceeded.
6. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate the potential impact to clients.
7. Collaborate with a team of financial advisors and attorneys to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role, with a focus on trust and estate taxation.
4. Proficiency in tax software and technology tools.
5. Strong understanding of federal and state fiduciary tax laws.
6. Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
9. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on providing high-quality client service.
10. Experience in a fully remote work environment is a plus.
