We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of fund accounting, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, financial analysis, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Fund Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing the day-to-day fund accounting operations, including trade processing, settlements, corporate actions, expense processing, and NAV calculation.
2. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
3. Performing account reconciliation and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
4. Conducting financial analyses and producing reports to assist in strategic decision-making.
5. Working closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
7. Providing guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
8. Participating in special projects as required, such as system upgrades and process improvements.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Fund Accountant position, you must have the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on mutual funds and hedge funds.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
4. Proven experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, financial analysis, and general ledger management.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
8. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
