Job Details

We’re looking for a licensed and experienced General Contractor to lead field operations for modular ADU installations across California. In this full-time role, you'll serve as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) on our California contractor license and oversee all construction activities—from site prep to final walkthrough—ensuring every project meets building codes, stays on schedule, and exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the RME for the company’s California Class B contractor license
Provide active, on-site supervision (32+ hours/week) of construction and installation work
Oversee all field activities: grading, foundations, utility hookups, craning, and finishing
Coordinate with subcontractors, local inspectors, and permitting agencies
Ensure projects are completed to code, on time, and within budget
Uphold job site safety and maintain accurate documentation
Support hiring and training of field staff or site leads
Report field progress and compliance directly to senior leadership

Required Qualifications
Eligible to act as RME per CSLB rules
Valid California Class B General Building Contractor License (or qualified by experience/exam)
At least 4 years of journey-level experience in general construction
Strong knowledge of California building codes, ADU rules, and permitting workflows
Experience leading crews and managing job site execution
Skilled in site planning, blueprint interpretation, and project coordination
Organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple projects

Preferred
Experience with modular or prefab home installation
Spanish-speaking a plus
Familiar with Cal/OSHA standards and construction site safety
