A bit about us:

We are a local Community Health organization located in Sacramento, looking for a General Dentist to join our growing team!

In this full time role, our Dental Department hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but we can offer a flexible schedule if requested.

This position will report directly to our Chief Health Officer, who also oversees Primary Care for our patients.

About 50% of the workflow is clinical, with the remainder of the time working to support the organization's processes, diagnosing dental diseases, and creating treatment plans for our patients.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Permanent General Dentist to join our Community Health team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the oral health of the Sacramento community and beyond. We provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, with the majority of our patients adults. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide variety of dental issues, as well as educating patients on oral health and preventative care. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive oral exams to identify dental health issues such as decay, disease, and injury.
  • Develop a personalized treatment plan for each patient, taking into account their specific needs and preferences.
  • Perform high-quality dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
  • Use modern dental technology to provide effective and efficient care, including digital radiography and intraoral cameras.
  • Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to provide comprehensive care, referring patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Educate patients on the importance of oral health, including proper hygiene practices and preventative care.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the dental field, continually improving your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid state dental license and malpractice insurance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in general dentistry, with demonstrated proficiency in exams, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to put patients at ease and explain complex dental concepts in understandable terms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of dental issues.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • A commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
