Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Manage a diverse caseload of general liability claims, including auto negligence, premises liability, and personal injury defense.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., in a timely manner.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Develop trial strategies and prepare for trial by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, drafting motions and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations, as well as the Florida Bar's ethical guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills to stay abreast of developments in the legal field.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney, with a focus on general liability, personal injury defense, and premises liability.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Proven experience in trial preparation, motion practice, depositions, and mediation.
- Strong knowledge of auto negligence and personal injury defense.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and trial practice skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and assignments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
