Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Liability Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in general liability defense, be licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York, and thrive in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of general liability matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on general liability issues.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Stay informed about developments in general liability law and industry trends.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records and billing entries.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey or New York State Bar.
• 3-8 years of experience practicing general liability defense.
• Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience handling complex general liability matters.
• Prior experience with insurance defense work.
• Familiarity with New Jersey and New York court procedures.
• Trial experience is a plus.
