General Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Permanent General Litigation Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about law, possesses a strong understanding of civil litigation, construction litigation, personal injury litigation, and general litigation, and is ready to handle a diverse caseload. The successful candidate will be an active member of the Washington State Bar and have at least 2 years of experience in the field.

As a Permanent General Litigation Attorney, you will be expected to:

1. Represent clients in a wide range of general litigation matters, including civil litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury litigation.
2. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
3. Conduct research to inform legal proceedings.
4. Engage in negotiation and mediation processes to resolve disputes.
5. Provide legal advice to clients on their rights and obligations.
6. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
8. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
9. Collaborate with team members and other legal professionals to ensure the best outcome for clients.
10. Maintain professional competence through continuing education and professional development.

The ideal candidate for the Permanent General Litigation Attorney position should possess the following:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in general litigation, including civil litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury litigation.
4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and effectively.
5. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
8. High level of professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
9. Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
12. 1700 billable hours
