Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and strategic Permanent General Manager to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the auto dealer industry, with a proven track record of driving sales, increasing profitability, and leading high-performing teams. You will be responsible for overseeing store operations, managing budgets, and forecasting sales. Your role will also involve training and developing staff, managing performance, and implementing strategic business plans. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring that the business runs smoothly and effectively.
2. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth objectives and increase profitability.
3. Conduct sales forecasting to anticipate market trends and make informed business decisions.
4. Manage the profit and loss of the store, ensuring that the business remains financially healthy.
5. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
6. Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing training and development opportunities as necessary.
7. Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and implementing performance management strategies as necessary.
8. Ensure that the store provides excellent customer service, resolving any issues that arise.
9. Collaborate with other managers and staff to develop and implement strategic business plans.
10. Stay informed about industry trends and changes, adapting business strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a management role within the auto dealer sector.
2. Proven experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and profit and loss management.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with experience in staff training and performance management.
4. Strong understanding of the sales process and retail sales strategies.
5. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
6. Strong strategic planning and business strategy skills, with the ability to make informed business decisions.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
9. Proven ability to drive sales and increase profitability.
10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
