We are seeking a driven and experienced General Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about overseeing the mechanical aspects of large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for all mechanical-related operations, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in both commercial and industrial settings. This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all mechanical operations of construction projects, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
2. Coordinate and direct the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and piping, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
3. Develop and implement project schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within cost parameters.
4. Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical workers, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
5. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
7. Resolve any mechanical-related issues or disputes that arise during the construction process.
8. Keep up-to-date with latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical construction.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, specifically related to mechanical operations.
2. Proven expertise in managing the installation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in commercial and industrial projects.
3. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
5. Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and issues effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
8. A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
9. Relevant certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or piping would be an advantage.
