We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of geotechnical projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations and studies, preparing reports and recommendations, and overseeing the successful completion of projects. This role requires a deep understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and earthworks construction.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of geotechnical projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations and studies, preparing reports and recommendations, and overseeing the successful completion of projects. This role requires a deep understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and earthworks construction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations and studies to assess soil, rock, and underground water characteristics and their impact on proposed construction.
- Utilize field sampling methods and laboratory analyses to determine soil and rock properties.
- Evaluate and calculate soil bearing capacity and other geotechnical parameters for design purposes.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including recommendations for construction design and risk management.
- Collaborate with engineers, geologists, architects, and construction personnel to ensure project success.
- Monitor and manage geotechnical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Provide expert advice on geotechnical issues, including soil and foundation engineering, slope stability, and ground risk management.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate them into practices and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and earthworks construction.
- Proficiency in testing, field sampling methods, laboratory analyses, and the evaluation/calculation of soil bearing capacity.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering judgments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proficiency in using geotechnical software tools and other relevant computer applications.
- A strong commitment to safety and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
