We are seeking a talented and dynamic Permanent Global Payroll Lead to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring that all payroll functions are executed with accuracy and timeliness. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the processing of payroll for multiple countries. This includes the reconciliation of monthly payroll, tax filings, garnishments, and other deductions. The role also involves providing insights into our financial performance by analyzing complex financial data and reports. Our ideal candidate is someone with a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations, financial analysis, and global business operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day payroll operations and processes for multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
2. Review and reconcile monthly payroll data, identifying discrepancies and resolving any issues promptly.
3. Manage garnishments, deductions, and taxes, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
4. Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other business systems.
5. Prepare and present financial reports, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
6. Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
7. Stay updated with changes in payroll tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
8. Provide support and guidance to payroll staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
9. Liaise with external auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
10. Respond to employees' payroll-related inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in global payroll processing and management.
3. Proficient in payroll software, preferably Deel.
4. Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations, garnishments, and other deductions.
5. Excellent financial analysis skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and generate insightful reports.
6. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
