Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing the process of timely and accurate weekly, biweekly, and monthly multi-state, non-union, and union payrolls for all subsidiaries
2. Managing a team of 3-4 payroll administrators
3. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
4. Reviewing payrolls and transmitting payroll files to ADP on weekly/biweekly basis
5. Conduct audits and reconciliation of payroll information and resolve any discrepancies.
6. Recommending automation and improvement on payroll related processes
7. Work closely with the HR team to ensure accurate timekeeping and employee data.
8. Manage the process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing.
9. Coordinating with auditors on SOX, internal, and external audits & maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for audits
10. Manage the payroll for multiple subsidiaries and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
11. Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of payroll to the General Ledger.
12. Assisting to resolve any tax variances presented by the payroll tax accountant
13. Ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws
14. Being the integral part during conversions and acquisitions
15. Resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions


Qualifications

1. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation OR BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources
2. Management Experience
3. Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing.
4. Strong knowledge of ADP payroll system.
