We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our Sales team. This role will involve maintaining and expanding relationships with our clients, focusing on customer satisfaction, account growth, and profitability. A background in agriculture, particularly grain origination, is highly desirable as our company operates within this sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in account management and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.
  • Operate as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role (2+ years required).
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
  • Background in agriculture, particularly grain origination, is highly desirable.
