A Hardware/Firmware Electrical Engineer is needed on a direct hire basis with a rapidly growing electronic engineering manufacturer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and testing new designs for electronic equipment and systems. This role will require you to leverage your technical acumen, critical thinking skills, and passion for innovation to develop high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs. You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on our company's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative hardware and firmware designs for new and existing electronic equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet these needs.
  • Capture PCB schematics and perform PC board layout tasks for various projects.
  • Conduct thorough testing of hardware and firmware designs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Manage full project scope, from initial concept through to final product delivery, ensuring all objectives are met within specified timelines and budget constraints.
  • Utilize your skills in embedded systems and embedded electronics to enhance the functionality and efficiency of our products.
  • Continually stay abreast of latest advancements in the field of electrical engineering and integrate relevant ideas into our design processes.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and project reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in hardware and firmware design, preferably within the Engineering industry.
  • Strong practical skills in embedded systems and embedded electronics.
  • Proficient in electronic circuit design and testing.
  • Experience with capturing PCB schematics and performing PC board layout tasks.
  • Proven ability to manage full project scope, from conception to delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
