We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the financial planning and analysis functions of our organization. This position will require a deep understanding of finance, budgeting, and forecasting, along with a strong grasp of renewable energy and tax equity. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting variance and comparable analysis, preparing proposals, analyzing projects, and providing strategic planning. Responsibilities:
1. Serving as an external financial advisor, providing guidance and recommendations on financial matters.
2. Developing comprehensive financial models for budgeting and forecasting, and conducting variance analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
3. Conducting comparable analysis to evaluate the company's financial performance against industry standards.
4. Understanding the commercial aspects of renewable energy projects, including tax equity and contracts for PPA.
5. Preparing detailed proposals for financial strategies and initiatives, ensuring they align with the company's objectives and financial health.
6. Analyzing renewable energy projects from a financial perspective, evaluating profitability, return on investment, and other key financial metrics.
7. Participating in strategic planning, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
8. Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial strategies and plans are integrated across the organization.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
3. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
4. Solid understanding of tax equity and commercial aspects of renewable energy projects.
5. Experience in preparing detailed financial proposals and conducting comprehensive project analysis.
6. Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and financial modeling software.
9. Highly analytical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
