Key Responsibilities

Technical Vision and Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap for our DeFi Savings Account, aligning with our mission to make decentralized finance intuitive and accessible to all.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team (backend, frontend, blockchain, and DevOps), fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration in our NYC office.
Platform Development: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of smart contracts and backend systems for high-yield savings, lending, and payment integrations, optimized for user-friendly DeFi experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and business teams to deliver consumer-centric DeFi solutions, incorporating feedback from users and ecosystem partners.
Security and Compliance: Ensure robust security for smart contracts and user funds, working with auditors to maintain trust and align with financial regulations in a decentralized environment.
Scalability and Performance: Architect a platform capable of supporting mass adoption, with low-latency transactions and high-yield optimization for millions of users.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate technical strategies to investors (e.g., Pantera, Collaborative Fund), C-level executives, and partners, translating complex DeFi concepts into business value.

Experience:
5+ years of coding experience as an individual contributor (IC) in software engineering, with hands-on expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Solidity, Python, or Go).
3+ years of engineering management experience at top-tier fintech or crypto companies (e.g., Aave, Compound, Uniswap, Coinbase, ConsenSys, or similar).
Proven track record of leading teams to deliver production-grade blockchain or DeFi applications, ideally in lending, savings, or payments.
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in blockchain technology, smart contract development (Solidity, OpenZeppelin), and EVM-compatible chains.
Proficiency in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and SDKs for DeFi applications (e.g., yield aggregation, payment integrations).
Experience with modern frameworks (Node.js, React, NestJS) and tools like Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle for smart contract development.
Familiarity with wallet integrations (e.g., MetaMask), decentralized infrastructure, and secure key management.
DeFi Passion: Strong understanding of and enthusiasm for DeFi, with personal or professional experience in savings, lending, or yield-generating protocols (e.g., Aave, Yearn, or similar).
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead diverse engineering teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation in fast-paced, startup environments.
Location: Must be willing to work in-person at our New York City office to foster team collaboration and innovation.

Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with payment integrations or card-based financial products (e.g., crypto debit cards).
Knowledge of Layer 2 solutions or cross-chain technologies.
Contributions to open-source DeFi projects or active participation in crypto communities.
