We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Commercial Property Accounting to lead our financial operations, scale our accounting infrastructure, and support our rapid portfolio expansion.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Financial Leadership: Oversight of full-cycle property accounting, month-end/quarter-end close procedures, and comprehensive financial reporting for multi-tenant commercial and industrial assets.
- Recoveries & Reconciliations: Direct complex CAM reconciliations, real estate tax true-ups, and baseline utility recovery calculations across a high-volume tenant base.
- Process & Team Optimization: Establish and standardize robust internal controls, streamline scalable accounting workflows, and mentor property accounting personnel.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with leasing, asset management, and property management teams to audit lease data, track operational key performance indicators, and drive value creation.
- Systems & Data Management: Leverage property management ERPs (such as Yardi or MRI) and advanced Excel modeling to accelerate the delivery of monthly financial packages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 6+ years of progressive commercial real estate accounting experience, with specific expertise in multi-tenant industrial or retail portfolios.
- Deep knowledge of NNN lease structures, complex escalation clauses, and CAM auditing.
- Advanced proficiency in real estate ERP platforms (Yardi, MRI, or RealPage) alongside expert-level Excel skills.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build, train, and guide property accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and analytical skills to present financial data clearly to leadership and ownership groups.
