Job Details
What you will work on:
This position is responsible for ensuring that job safe practices (JSPs) are in place for all positions and that employees are knowledgeable about the safety issues relevant to their work.
Additionally, this position ensures compliance with environmental rules and regulations.
Responsible for the development of Best-in-Class work environment that is free of safety hazards.
Routinely review the facility for unsafe conditions and environmental concerns, and ensure resolution of those concerns.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA and MIOSHA regulations.
Conduct or coordinate safety training as required.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective ergonomic program.
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
Lead the development of environmentally friendly practice.
Serve as champion of the ISO-14001 EMS program.
Utilize KPS tools for problem resolution.
Work with other departments as required to effectively resolving environmental, health and safety issues.
Ability to interact regularly with vendors, training suppliers and outside suppliers.
An acceptable TCIR level.
ISO-14001 system compliance.
No OSHA or MIOSHA violations.
Compliance with environmental rules and regulations.
5 core/5 life audit compliance.
What you will bring to the position:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant experience is required.
Seven (7) years of EHS experience is required.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
CSP, CPEA or equivalent Certifications are a plus.
