Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on healthcare transactions, including M&A, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various health law topics including Stark Law, Anti-kickback statute, HIPAA, CMS Regulations, etc.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents.
  • Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.
  • Advise clients on health law compliance and risk management strategies.
  • Stay current with changes in health law and advise clients on potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Health Care Lawyer, Healthcare Associate, or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in healthcare transactions, healthcare regulation, health law compliance, and healthcare M&A.
  • In-depth knowledge of Stark Law, Anti-kickback statute, HIPAA, CMS Regulations, and other relevant health laws and regulations.
  • Experience in representing health systems, hospitals, clinical laboratories, hospice care, home care, behavioral health, DME Suppliers, ambulatory surgical centers, and physician groups.
  • Strong skills in transactional law, regulatory law, contract negotiation, legal research, and drafting agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
