Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our dynamic team in the *medical industry. As a permanent member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expanding our market presence. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for healthcare and a proven track record in business development. (*f you do not have Acute Care Hospital, Inpatient Rehab, LTACH or Behavioral Health Hospital experience as a Business Development Director, you will not be considered.)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the healthcare industry, with a focus on Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRF) and Long-Term Care Hospitals (LTCH).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and referral sources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of business development strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
  • Lead the admission process, ensuring efficient and seamless patient transitions from referral sources to our facilities.
  • Oversee physician recruitment efforts, working closely with the medical staff to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns and initiatives to promote our services and increase brand awareness.
  • Drive direct sales efforts, including negotiating contracts and closing deals with potential clients.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as EBITDA and market share, to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, healthcare management, or marketing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRF) and Long-Term Care Hospitals (LTCH).
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of the admission process and experience in managing patient transitions.
  • Experience in physician recruitment and a strong network of healthcare professionals is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in marketing strategies and techniques, with the ability to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, KPIs, and financial data.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on achieving targets and driving business success.
