Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Hospital Controller to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. As the Permanent Hospital Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Hospital Accounting: Oversee the accounting functions of the hospital, including financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, and accounts payable/receivable management.

2. Hospital Controller: Serve as the primary financial advisor to the hospital's executive team, providing guidance and support on financial matters, budgeting, and forecasting.

3. Cost Reimbursement: Manage the cost reimbursement process, ensuring compliance with government regulations and maximizing reimbursement for services provided.

4. Healthcare Revenue Cycle: Oversee the revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition, to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered.

5. Accounts Payable: Supervise the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.

6. Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and implement the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgeted targets, providing regular reports and recommendations to management.

7. Financial Audits: Coordinate and oversee the annual financial audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. 2+ years of experience in hospital accounting, preferably in a leadership role as a Hospital Controller or Accounting Manager, or Financial Manager, or Director of Finance.

2. Strong knowledge of cost reimbursement principles and regulations, with experience in maximizing reimbursement for healthcare services.

3. In-depth understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition.

4. Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment management.

5. Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to develop and analyze financial plans and reports.

6. Experience in coordinating and overseeing financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify financial risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvement.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

9. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.

10. Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
