Job Details

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all phases of the construction project to ensure successful and timely completion
Perform all duties associated with the superintendent role
Enforce company and site-specific safety protocols and procedures
Actively participate in the Safety Training Program
Ensure subcontractors provide and maintain valid certificates of insurance
Develop, update, and manage the Critical Path Method (CPM) construction schedule
Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Owner and Architect
Recruit, organize, train, and manage the field construction team, including both direct hires and subcontractors
Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure high-quality workmanship
Coordinate and manage procurement of materials and tools to prevent last-minute purchases
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including time sheets, work orders, daily logs, and invoice approvals
Manage punch list documentation and ensure timely completion of all items
Review and interpret all project drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals
Lead or participate in pre-construction conferences and regular subcontractor coordination meetings
Conduct start-up testing and ensure smooth project turnover to the Owner
Document all final close-out procedures and secure Owner’s acceptance
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Must be capable of performing manual labor only under exceptional, exigent circumstances based on independent judgment
Willingness and ability to travel as required by management
Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple projects across a broad geographic area
Experience in Healthcare (HCAi or HCA) and Behavioral Health construction projects is required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 8 years of field construction experience in a supervisory role (Superintendent level)
Possession of a current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire and maintain active status thereafter
Comprehensive understanding of construction trades, including the ability to interpret specifications across all disciplines; prior experience as a foreman, journeyman, or project engineer in at least one trade
Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
Proficient in project scheduling, planning, material expediting, and cost control practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates a high sense of urgency and commitment to project success
