We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of heavy-duty construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanics, diesel mechanics, general contracting, and heavy-duty machinery.
Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Diagnose and repair a wide array of heavy-duty construction equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
2. Perform routine maintenance checks and services on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
4. Work closely with other team members to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
5. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
6. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and answering queries promptly.
7. Keep accurate records of repairs, services, and parts inventory.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Heavy Duty Mechanic position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. At least 3 years of experience as a mechanic, diesel mechanic, general contractor, or in a similar role in the heavy-duty field.
2. A valid certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
3. Proven experience with heavy-duty construction equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
4. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to address client concerns and queries promptly.
6. Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other team members.
7. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
8. Ability to handle physical work, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
9. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for repair and maintenance tasks.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep accurate records of repairs, services, and parts inventory.
