Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has a passion for mechanics and wants to work on heavy-duty equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy machinery and equipment used in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, such as checking fluid levels, replacing parts, and lubricating machinery.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy equipment, using diagnostic tools and equipment manuals.
3. Repair or replace defective parts in heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
4. Test repaired equipment to ensure it operates correctly and safely, following manufacturer's specifications and safety standards.
5. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and hours worked.
6. Provide guidance and training to less experienced mechanics, as needed.
7. Stay current with the latest technology and techniques in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
8. Operate heavy machinery and equipment to test their performance and to move them around the facility.
9. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. A technical degree or certification in heavy equipment mechanics or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, truck mechanic, or diesel mechanic.
3. In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy equipment.
4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
6. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
7. Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the workplace.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
9. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
10. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
11. Certification from a recognized trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
12. Experience with Motors Repair is a significant advantage.
