Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, graders, bulldozers, and compactors.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and inspections to prevent downtime.
Component Overhaul: Rebuild and repair major components like engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and undercarriages following technical specifications.
Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools, software, and schematics to identify and resolve complex equipment issues efficiently.
Welding and Fabrication: Perform minor welding or fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records using computerized management systems.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and ensure equipment is safe and operational before use.
Collaboration: Coordinate with operators, supervisors, and team members to prioritize repairs and reduce downtime.
Tool and Workspace Maintenance: Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment in industrial, construction, or mining environments.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and electronic diagnostics.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
Experience with OEM diagnostic software is a plus.
Relevant certifications (ASE, heavy equipment-specific, or equivalent) preferred. Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and handle various weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and time management.
