We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Histology Technician to join our dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in tissue handling, lab operations, lab testing, cutting, staining, and sample preparation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our scientific research and diagnostic efforts, providing essential support to our team of scientists and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

1. Performing routine histological procedures such as tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
2. Handling and preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination and analysis.
3. Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and safety.
4. Conducting quality control checks on equipment and lab processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
5. Collaborating with lab staff and researchers to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
6. Documenting and reporting lab results accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of new laboratory techniques and protocols.
8. Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
9. Providing technical guidance and training to junior lab staff and students.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Histology Technician or in a similar role.
2. A strong background in tissue handling, lab operations, lab testing, cutting, staining, and sample preparation.
3. Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and conducting histological procedures.
4. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
9. A Bachelor's degree in Histology, Biology, or a related field is preferred.
