Job Details / Responsibilities:
Review, evaluate, and monitor critical performance metrics and progress toward goals
Take proactive actions to reverse negative admission and discharge volume trends
Implement plans to ensure marketing effectiveness and drive volume growth
Use monthly data to measure progress toward goals, including volume, case mix, payer mix, and functional outcomes
Communicate marketplace opportunities and threats to senior leadership
Manage all marketing operations, including hiring, recruiting, training, and developing sales staff
Educate marketing team on tools, budget management, sales skills, and territory management
Oversee admission processes, insurance verification, pre-certification, bed control, and discharge management
Manage reimbursement systems to optimize volume, resource utilization, and length of stay
Identify new product lines and repackage existing ones in collaboration with hospital leadership
Drive grassroots marketing efforts and coordinate marketing, media, and public relations activities
Develop marketing collateral and advertising strategies
Utilize CRM to plan, track, and monitor liaison territories, referrals, and activities (build 30 days of activities in advance)
Complete pre-call planning and post-call follow-up on a minimum of 95% of activities
Qualifications:
Proven healthcare sales and/or business development leadership experience in a hospital environment
Minimum 5+ direct reports leading a sales team (liaisons or equivalent)
Experience training, leading, and developing sales professionals with physician referral source management and field ridealongs
Local to Florence, SC market or strong ties to South Carolina (candidates must live within 1-hour drive)
Clinical background (RN, therapist, etc.) preferred but not required
No recent job hopping; stable career progression required
