Hospitality Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Director of Finance to join our team. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, and month-end reporting. You will also lead the month-end close process and work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with all financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the annual budget for the company, ensuring that all financial goals are met and that resources are allocated appropriately.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the financial health of the company.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring that all financial reports are completed on time and that all necessary adjustments are made.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and to provide support during the audit process.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are conducted in a transparent and ethical manner.
• Provide financial analysis and support to other departments within the company, including sales, marketing, and operations.
• Manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure that all financial operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Experienced financial management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial statement preparation, and general ledger maintenance.
• Experience leading the month-end close process and working with external auditors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage a team of financial professionals and provide guidance and support as needed.
