We are excited to announce an opening for the position of a Permanent Hotel Controller in our esteemed organization. This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about the Accounting and Finance industry and is eager to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in GAAP, Financials, Monthly Reporting, accounting, finance, Cash Flow, GL, and Annual Budget. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
As a Hotel Controller, you will be responsible for managing the financial health of our hotel. Key responsibilities include:

1. Oversee all hotel accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable financial regulations.
2. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
3. Manage cash flow and forecasting, developing strategies to optimize financial resources.
4. Oversee the general ledger (GL), ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions.
5. Develop and manage the annual budget, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.
6. Implement and maintain internal control safeguards to mitigate financial risks.
7. Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary information and ensuring that audit processes are completed smoothly.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting financial strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Hotel Controller position will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
4. Proven experience in managing cash flow and general ledger.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
