Our firm is currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Consulting HR Assistant to join our team. This exciting role will provide you with an opportunity to be part of a team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our employees. We are looking for a candidate who is knowledgeable in various HR functions, including onboarding, safety training, new hire orientation, recruitment, background checks, drug testing, benefit administration, employee records management, timekeeping, policies, procedures, scheduling, professional correspondence, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and Employment Law.

Responsibilities:

As a Consulting HR Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks and drug tests.
2. Coordinating and conducting new hire orientation, onboarding, and safety training.
3. Administering benefits and explaining benefit compensation to employees.
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
6. Handling timekeeping and scheduling for employees.
7. Managing professional correspondence and communication with employees.
8. Providing support for leave of absence (LOA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests.
9. Staying current with changes in employment law and ensuring the company's compliance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Consulting HR Assistant position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with hands-on experience in onboarding, safety training, new hire orientation, recruitment, background checks, drug testing, benefit administration, employee records management, timekeeping, developing policies and procedures, scheduling, managing professional correspondence, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and Employment Law.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
6. Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
