We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Generalist to join our thriving construction company. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our human resources department. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training and development, onboarding, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and HR policies.
Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing and resolving employee issues promptly and effectively.
2. Performance Management: Implement and manage performance review processes, provide coaching to managers on performance management issues, and work towards enhancing employee performance and productivity.
3. Benefits Administration: Oversee and manage employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and communicate benefits information to employees.
4. Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and facilitate employee learning and development initiatives.
5. Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive initial experience.
6. Organizational Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
7. Compensation and Benefits: Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent.
8. HR Policies: Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and communicate these policies to all employees.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required. A Master’s degree or HR certification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and best practices, including employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training and development, onboarding, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and HR policies.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels within the organization.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
6. Proficient in using HRMS systems and other HR-related software.
7. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
8. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also a strong team player.
