We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our thriving construction company. This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to be involved in various aspects of human resources, from recruitment to employee engagement. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluations, processing employment changes, supporting programs, employee engagement, terminations, performance management, and employee relations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, from job posting to interviewing and hiring.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Conduct regular employee evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Process employment changes, including promotions, transfers, and departures.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Create and manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Handle terminations professionally, abiding by all legal requirements.
  • Oversee performance management, developing strategies to improve employee performance and productivity.
  • Foster positive employee relations, acting as a mediator in any disputes and promoting a culture of respect and cooperation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluations, processing employment changes, supporting programs, employee engagement, terminations, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is a plus.
