Responsibilities:
As our Safety and Training Director, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our operations comply with all safety and health regulations, and that our employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and training programs.
2. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
3. Conducting regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
4. Providing training and development opportunities to enhance employees' safety awareness and skills.
5. Collaborating with various departments to integrate safety protocols into daily operations.
6. Leading incident investigations and providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
7. Monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure our safety programs remain current and effective.
8. Regularly reporting to senior management on safety performance and initiatives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this pivotal role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Energy sector, preferably in Solar Energy.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.
4. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing safety and training programs.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Proficient in using safety management software and systems.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
