Job Details
Seeking a highly motivated, talented Human Resources Generalist to provide support in multiple HR disciplines at the firm’s Downtown Chicago office. This is an exceptional opportunity for the Specialist to provide strategic, administrative, and project management support in all aspects of the firm’s Human Resources Department. Prior law firm experience is required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS:
A successful Human Resource Generalist will have demonstrated ability and knowledge of human resources. Proven ability to work effectively and independently under time constraints; must be able to organize and implement detailed projects; requires strong computer skills.

- Open enrollment experience, onboarding, year end cycle
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in various responsibilities including preparation for new hires and onboarding;
- Oversee benefit enrollment for new employees through ADP and carrier websites, as needed;
- Provide support with benefit administration, including monthly benefit reconciliations and annual open enrollment and performance management;
- Assist with HRIS, including training and implementation of new recruiting functionality;
- Oversee COBRA activity for the Firm;
- Respond promptly and thoroughly to questions on all HR topics and policies;
- Process and upload HSA deductions for partners and employees;
- Assist with additional HR related responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A successful Human Resource Generalist will have demonstrated ability and knowledge of human resources. Proven ability to work effectively and independently under time constraints; must be able to organize and implement detailed projects; requires strong computer skills.
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline;
- Minimum of 2-3 years HR experience supporting multiple locations demonstrating knowledge of principles and practices of human resources including federal and state employment legislation;
- Computer proficiency including MS Office including Excel, Outlook and; iManage experience a plus;
- Familiarity and experience using ADP HRIS a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a busy environment;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Able to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion;
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated creativity and initiative; self-starter with ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated;
