We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Human Resources Manager with experience in the engineering industry to join our growing team. As the HR Manager, you will lead and manage the HR department, ensuring the effective implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and other HR functions to support the organization’s objectives and foster a positive work environment. This is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and hire top talent. This includes developing job descriptions, posting job ads, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, inclusivity, and a culture of respect and collaboration.
  • Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances promptly and professionally, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to compensation and benefits, staying up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed to ensure they meet the organization’s objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals and comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Manager role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a HR team.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions (recruitment, employee relations, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
