Job Details
This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role for an experienced HR professional who is ready to own the full human resources function. You will serve as a true business partner to ownership and senior stakeholders — developing policy, driving workforce strategy, and building the infrastructure to support a growing, multi-site operation.
What You'll Do
Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local employment law
Partner directly with ownership, leadership, and key stakeholders on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee relations
Oversee full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives across field and office populations
Manage benefits administration, compensation benchmarking, and performance management programs
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for multi-site field operations and office staff
Lead compliance efforts including OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, and DOL regulations relevant to the construction industry
Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
7+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 in a management or leadership capacity
Background in construction, infrastructure, trades, or heavy civil strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience developing HR policy and working directly with senior leadership or ownership
Strong knowledge of employment law and multi-state compliance
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — this role requires credibility at all levels of the organization
