Strategic Impact – You’ll be a key member of the facility leadership team, shaping workforce strategy and driving performance in partnership with operations leadership.
Labor Relations Leadership – With a strong union presence on-site, your experience managing labor relations, CBAs, and union partnerships will be put to good use.
Team Management – Lead and mentor a high-impact HR team (4+ direct reports) in a dynamic 24/7 environment.
Executive Exposure – Report directly to the VP of HR and Labor Relations for North America with strong cross-functional ties to senior plant leadership.
What You’ll Do:
HR Strategy & Organizational Leadership
Align plant operations with long-term HR strategies and corporate initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor to the operations leadership team.
Identify workforce gaps and lead action plans to drive performance and culture.
Talent Management & Development
Lead annual performance cycles, talent reviews, and succession planning.
Oversee workforce development programs and leadership training efforts.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking.
Labor Relations
Partner with union representatives to maintain productive and collaborative relationships.
Oversee grievance handling, arbitration, and negotiation of local agreements.
Build a climate of trust and accountability within the unionized workforce.
Engagement & Culture
Lead initiatives to improve retention, engagement, and inclusion across all levels.
Monitor engagement trends and develop data-driven action plans.
HR Execution & Compliance
Ensure flawless delivery of core HR processes (benefits, employee relations, investigations, etc.).
Maintain compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA and all applicable labor regulations.
Implement continuous improvement strategies across HR operations.
📋 What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s degree a plus).
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
8+ years of hands-on labor relations experience in a unionized setting.
Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations (Metal/Alloys a plus)
HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are preferred.
A flexible leadership style and the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments.
