We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Human Resources Manager for a permanent role within our thriving manufacturing company. This role is integral to the success of our organization, and the ideal candidate will be instrumental in fostering a positive company culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and managing all aspects of our human resources functions.

Responsibilities:

As a Human Resources Manager, you will have a broad range of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training, and development.
2. Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
3. Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
4. Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.
5. Managing talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
6. Collaborating with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
7. Planning, leading, developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
8. Administering or overseeing the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
9. Negotiating with unions, managing disputes, and attending to employee grievances.
10. Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of human resource management experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or heavy machinery industry.
3. Experience in a unionized environment is a must.
4. Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including workers compensation, union relations, and federal and state employment laws.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
10. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
11. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
