We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Permanent BAS System Engineer to join our manufacturing industry team. This exciting role will involve working with cutting-edge technology in building automation systems (BAS). You will have the opportunity to design and program control systems, work with HVAC and low voltage building sub-systems, and utilize Visio for mechanical drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automatic temperature controls and building subsystems.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent BAS System Engineer, your role will be multi-faceted and include the following responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and implement building automation systems (BAS) to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand their requirements and provide appropriate automation solutions.
  • Manage the integration of HVAC and low voltage building sub-systems into the overall building automation controls.
  • Use Visio to create and interpret mechanical drawings for system design and implementation.
  • Program and adjust automatic temperature controls to ensure optimal environmental conditions within the manufacturing facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building subsystems and controls to minimize downtime and maintain system efficiency.
  • Continually monitor and analyze system performance, making adjustments and recommendations as necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

To be considered for this critical role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with building automation systems, controls design, and control system programming.
  • Demonstrated experience with HVAC and low voltage building sub-systems.
  • Proficiency in using Visio for creating and interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of automatic temperature controls and their integration into building automation controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
