Currently seeking an experienced Lead Building Automation Technician to join a growing Systems Integration firm in the Miami market. In this role, you will commission, diagnose, and troubleshoot HVAC/DDC control systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Programming and/or troubleshooting various brands of HVAC controls products
  • Program and load system-level controller software. Performs commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc) and completes all required commissioning documentation
  • Create and update front-end graphical user interfaces (GUI)
  • Integration with 3rd party networks / software / systems
  • Successfully build trust / relationship as liaison / first point of contact with client
  • Earn positive feedback from supervisors, co-workers, and clients for customer service & attitude
  • Work safely to eliminate personal accidents and damage to other property / systems
  • High proficiency in electrical and HVAC theory
  • Develop KPI’s or tracking metrics for job performance

MUST HAVE:
  • 3+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls experience
  • Experience with BAS communication protocols; BACnet MSTP, BACnet IP, N2, P1, Modbus, LON, Tridium Ax/N4 etc.
  • Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites
  • Possess an aptitude for electrical wiring and reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
  • High level knowledge of IT networks

NICE TO HAVE:
  • One-year technical certificate in HVAC or equivalent from an accredited institution or 2 years of experience in an HVAC related field, preferred.
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or other
