Job Details

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Estimating/Project Management:

In-home sales calls with homeowners;
Complete accurate take-offs at all levels of plans;
Prepare and coordinate all pre-bid RFIs; Manage all bid clarifications and addendums to subcontractors during the bidding phases; Project scheduling on a regular basis;
Management of project budget, negotiating the best pricing;
Writing & negotiating of proposals;
Participate in the hand-off of a project to that project’s install team;
Create submittal packages for awarded projects;
Ensure procurement of all materials on schedule with job;
Understand and follow company, client and subcontractor billing procedures;
Tracking of and follow-through on punch-lists, including adherence to document control procedures, maintenance of document logs and proper maintenance of project-related documents in company archives;
Development of RFIs and follow-through to completion on any project-related issues which may arise – including accurate documentation of resolution;
Follow warranty, quality control and close-out procedures efficiently and in a timely manner;
Participate in pre-construction meetings;
Prepare change orders and track through completion.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years in the HVAC industry

KNOWLEDGE OF: Schematics, blueprints and drawings/specifications; Drafting; Construction schedules; RFIs, submittals, punch lists; Estimating concepts and budgets; Problem analysis – ability to evaluate alternatives and keep project moving forward; Computer: Microsoft Office, MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD and/or other specialized construction software as required to perform as-built drawings and pre-construction drawings.
